Drink a Guinness

Over the weekend I went to The Cinema with my mom and her fiance to go see The King's Speech (which is an excellent movie and confirmed for me that Colin Firth is one of the dreamiest men ever).  When the movie was over we decided to go get something to eat and to keep on our British theme of the evening, Mom and Mike decided to go to The Old Toad since it was a place they had always wanted to go but had never been to. See, I guess this list is inspiring other people around me!!

Me drinking my first Guinness at The Old Toad.
We picked a good time to go because there was hardly anyone there. We were perusing the beer list and my mom pointed out that they had Guinness available  and I would be able to check another thing off my list. I deliberated in my head and then decided what the heck, just go for it. So I ordered a Guinness. There it sat before me, looking nice and dark with that layer of foam on top. Now, I had sipped a Guinness a couple years ago so I wasn't a complete stranger to the taste. But I took a much bigger sip this time, and I found it quite tasty. A nice mix of dark bitterness and a hint of sweetness. I did finish the whole thing and I think this is a beer I will be ordering in the future.
